Established in 1967, Aksaray Commodity Exchange serves Aksaray, the most important subsistence agriculture and animal husbandry, and fulfills its role in bringing important products that guide Turkish agriculture to the world. Our businessmen affiliated to the Aksaray Commodity Exchange have 10 feed factories operating in our city, 23 regional and national dairy factories processing milk and dairy products, and 3 flour factories. In Aksaray, agriculture provides 80% of total employment and is the locomotive of employment with this ratio. Aksaray produces about 260 thousand tons of wheat, 250 thousand tons of barley, 200 thousand tons of corn silage, 210 thousand tons of clover, 1 million tons of sugar beet, 320 thousand tons of milk, 16 thousand tons of red meat with 45 thousand farmers. These products, as well as pumpkin seeds, sunflower production in the oilseed and recreational Aksaray, one of Turkey\'s most important centers.
